Professional Training

Divya Gyan College offers students with professional training for both BCA and BBS students. BCA students are given the training right from the beginning of their course i.e. first semester. Normally we start with concepts of web like html, CSS and basic JavaScript integration. After the completion of web designing we start with programming. They will be given fundamental programming concept in any one of the programming language i.e. either in Python or C or PHP. After fundamental programming is finished, we give the knowledge of database where students are taught to create tables and run different queries to select, update and delete data. In the third phase they are taught to develop various types of web based applications. Students can design a web based application from one of the following topics:

• Student management system
• Routine management system
• News portal
• Job portal
• Ecommerce
• Inventory system
• Rental system
• Booking system

Students complete the project under the supervision of their project supervisor who is responsible to keep track of their progress and evaluate their skills. Once the first phase of the application development is complete students are promoted to the next level of training where they will be taught any one of the programming language based on their preference and market demand. We provide a short 45 – 60 hrs. of training then students are send for the internship. For those students who are interested in other areas of IT like networking, network security, Graphic Design, Multimedia, software testing, digital marketing, database, we form a group and provide necessary training in those area. Then we plan for a internship after the successful completion of their course. The main objective of this professional training is to help students to build a strong foundation in the area of their choice. We want our graduates to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in their professional area.

For BBS students, college will provide professional training every year. In the first year students are introduced with basic computer skills along with MS Office where they will learn to format letters, store data and do calculations and create presentation in excel. In the later phase of the training students are introduced with advanced topics in excel like data analysis, data visualization and so on. In the second year, we provide accounting knowledge so that they can experience how actual accounting is performed via software in the real world. In the third year students are provided with digital marketing training where they will learn the skills of Search Engine Optimization and Social Media Marketing.

Along with these professional training Divya Gyan College also provies soft skills training to enhance the leadership and communication skills of both IT and management students.
